    Buy in Four Easy Steps with Muir Homes

    Buying a new home is exciting, however it can be a complicated process and there’s a lot to keep in mind and consider. Fortunately, once you’ve chosen the right house for you, Muir Homes makes the buying process as easy and straightforward as possible with our four-step guide.

    Step 1: Reservation

    The first step in the process of buying a Muir Home is to choose and reserve your property. Once you have an Application in Principle from your bank or lender, you can select your favourite home with help from our expert team. Following this you can pay your reservation fee in order to secure the home of your choice. Once this is complete, your Muir Home will be reserved for you, and the buying process can begin in earnest.

     

    Step 2: Personalise your dream home

    With your home reserved, you can now start to personalise it to your liking. This step involves working with Muir Homes to choose your kitchen, tiles, and any optional extras you may want. This is an exciting time as it allows you to put your stamp on your new home and create a space that is truly your own.

     

    Step 3: Mortgage and Missives

    Once you have completed your personalisation, the mortgage needs to be finalised in order for you to be able to commit to purchase. This step involves your appointed solicitor completing title and property checks, your IFA/Mortgage advisor preparing a full mortgage application, and a property valuation being sent to the Admin Agents. Once all of these checks have been completed, your solicitor will conclude missives and confirm them to the Admin Agent. At this stage, you will also be given an indicative date of entry, subject to the property being inspected by the council and warranty provider.

     

    Step 4: Settlement

    The final step in the buying process is settlement. Once everything is complete, you can move into your new Muir Home! This is an exciting time as you finally get to take possession of your new property and start creating memories in your new home.
